The local launch of the Isuzu D-MAX Article AT 35 is set for May and derived from the 300 4×4 Double Cab LX Auto. It was created in close collaboration with Artic Trucks, an Icelandic company that is known for it’s all-conquering bakkies.

This incredibly exclusive Isuzu is aimed at customers who want a car that’s extremely reliable and capable, but at the same time unique and something that stands out in a crowd, with a properly engineered solution.

“Whether driven in arduous off-road conditions or used on the road, this rugged and character-filled bakkie certainly commands attention,” Rimmer adds.

The Isuzu D-MAX Artic has been engineered and built in South Africa and undergone a full local validation from Isuzu’s engineering team. To ensure the D-MAX strengths of reliability and durability are not compromised in any way, the engineering team at Isuzu were completely hands-on during the process.

The look of the Isuzu D-MAX Artic is completely functional and very distinctive to ensure that heads are turned in awe at its unashamedly muscular presence. The wheel arches that are flared add a substantial 180mm to the overall width, and ride height is 48mm up for additional ground clearance.

The Isuzu D-MAX Artic AT 35 will be available from May and is set at a recommended retail price of R785 000. It comes standard with Isuzu Complete Care – a five-year/120 000km bumper-to-bumper warranty as well as Isuzu Roadside Assistance, a five-year/unlimited km anti-corrosion warranty and a five-year/90 000km Service Plan. The service internals are every 15 000km/12 months, and extended cover can be purchase for Roadside Assistance, Service Plans and Maintenance Plans.
